She taught in Calcutta Girls' High School for more than 36 years. Retired as the Vice Principal of the same School. Teaching has been her passion and she believes that the teacher should make learning an enjoyable experience for the students.
She graduated from Jadavpur University with Economics as Major. She taught in Patha Bhavan Kolkata for 39 years, of which, last 9 years she was the Head of the Montessori and Primary divisions of the school. She is currently associated with Patha Bhavan, Dankuni as a mentor and authored two books related to the curriculum.
A Masters in Economics (Jadavpur University, Kolkata) and Human Development (SNDT University, Mumbai), she holds P.G. Diploma in Life Long Learning (London). She has 45 years of experience in varied roles and responsibilities, from teaching and training to mentoring and administration.
