• 1. Teachers need to register an account with www.edguruindia.com and be approved by the EdGuru India LLP management to start teaching through the platform.
  • 2. When you register on the platform (www.edguruindia.com) and set up an account, you must:
    • (i) provide accurate and complete information;
    • (ii) in case of correction or changes promptly update your Account information by editing your profile on EdGuru LMS site or write to the administrative team of EdGuru India;
    • (iii) authorise EdGuru India to make any inquiries we consider necessary or appropriate to verify your Account information or the information you provide to us related to any Services you provide via the Platform; and
    • (iv) acknowledge and accept any applicable policies, including but not limited to those pertaining to service terms, confidentiality, teacher integrity, antiharassment and conflict of interest.
  • 3. You are responsible for safeguarding and maintaining the confidentiality of your Account information.
  • 4. You agree not to disclose your Account information to any third party and that you are entirely and solely responsible for any and all activities or actions from your Account on the Platform, whether or not you have authorised such activities or actions.
  • 5. You will immediately notify EdGuru India LLP team of any unauthorized use of your Account.
  • 6. You agree that you will not permit, enable, introduce or facilitate other persons to participate in providing tutoring services from your Account, including others who may be subject to an agreement that is the same or similar to this Agreement.
  • 7. You will not use false identities or impersonate any other person or use another account that you are not authorised to use.
  • 8. It is understood , all information provided by the teacher while registering is genuine, if otherwise EdGuru India will not be responsible for it.
  • 9. You will not directly contact a client or clients (students) who are enrolled with EdGuru India LLP and or provide additional services outside this contract of online tuition unless arranged by EdGuru India Management.
  • 10. All written communication to students should only be through EdGuru India LLP Teacher coordinator.
  • 11. You will not promote other educational services or means of tuition to existing clients of EdGuru India LLP.
  • 12. As teachers registered with EdGuru India LLP you verify the following: You (i) have the requisite knowledge in teaching subjects mentioned during registration and(ii) will utilise EdGuru India’s user-paid time solely to provide tuition services.
  • 13. Neither Client (students) nor EdGuru India LLP is responsible for the use or exchange of any information, files or goods between teachers and students of the Platform. Further, neither Client nor EdGuru India LLP controls, or is responsible for the truth, accuracy, completeness, safety, quality, appropriateness, legality or applicability of anything said or written by you or users of the Platform, including, without limitation, the services provided or other information made available through the platform.
  • 14. Teachers are solely responsible for their interactions with users of the platform
  • 15. Your use of the Platform and your provision of the Services is at your own risk and discretion and you therefore agree to take reasonable precautions in all interactions with users of the Platform and that you are solely responsible for, and agree to exercise caution, discretion, common sense and judgment in, using the Platform or providing the Services and disclosing information, including any personal information to users of the Platform.
  • 16. Teacher profile including name , brief background and a display picture will be visible on the site for the benefit of students registered on EdGuru India website.
  • 17. EdGuru India LLP reserves the right to evaluate your compliance with the rules and policies of EdGuru India and this Agreement.
  • 18. You will comply with all applicable local, provincial, and National laws and regulations in connection with your provision of the Services. Any dispute to be resolved under Kolkata jurisdiction.
  • 19.You are solely responsible for the content of the communications, assistance and direction that you provide as part of the Services.
  • 20. You will not record or otherwise store any tuition sessions that you provide through the Platform.
  • 21.You will not use the Platform or provide the Services in any manner that harasses a user of the Platform or another teacher or could otherwise interfere with any other party's use or enjoyment of the Platform. You will respect the privacy of users of the Platform and will not use the Platform for unwelcome, rude or abusive communications or any other disrespectful or detrimental behaviour , which will be determined by EdGuru India LLP in its sole discretion.
  • 22. Internet connection used by teachers has to support online video calls and good voice quality
  • 23. Background of the sessions (visible area behind teacher) should be a simple wall or drape and located in a brightly lit environment.
  • 24. Lighting shall be bright enough for client(s) to see and view faces clearly.
  • 25. Sound - There should be no ambient noise or other sounds that could distract students or detract from the quality of the session.
  • 26. Teachers will not be engaged in any other activity other than providing lesson to students during scheduled classes.
  • 27. Teachers shall adhere to login protocols and enter the session room corresponding with his or her schedule, a minimum of five (5) minutes prior to session start time. Failure to comply with the login protocols will result in adverse student feedback.
  • 28. Camera should be kept on during live tuition sessions.
  • 29. Admin may be present during online live classes for administrative purposes. The admin will be off camera and on mute.
  • 30. Dress code during live tuition session for teachers is- smart casual or formal.
  • I. Teachers must attend all pre-booked sessions unless it has been cancelled or rescheduled with 2 days prior notice, and the EdGuru Teacher Coordinator have been informed. For teachers making last moment cancellations (only in case of emergency), classes have to be rescheduled for another time slot in the following week in coordination with EdGuru Teacher Coordinator.
  • II. In exceptional circumstances, where student is unable to give advance notice of cancellation, teachers will do their best to offer an alternate date for the missed lesson next week. However this is at the teacher's discretion, during busy times if a teacher fails to accommodate then the lesson will be chargeable. (This would require students to provide with documented evidence; communicate with EdGuru India teacher coordinator and not teachers directly)
  • III. Tuition charges will be fixed at a fee agreed upon by the teachers and the same will be valid for all scheduled classes and no change request will be accepted in the middle of booked session till all classes booked by the students have been completed
  • IV. Any lost time due to the late arrival of the tutor shall be compensated by extending a lesson by mutual agreement and by such amount of time that was lost. The teacher will wait for a maximum of 20 minutes from the time of the scheduled session for the student's arrival before considering that session canceled ( for cases without prior information from students). No fees will be refunded for joining more than 20 minutes late and in turn cancellation of classes.
  • V. All registered Teachers with EdGuru India LLP agree to defend, indemnify, and hold EdGuru India LLP, its officers, directors, employees and agents, harmless from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses, including, without limitation, reasonable legal and accounting fees, arising out of or in any way connected with violation of this Agreement, provision of the Services, and any claim made by a third party as a result of provision of the Services, including any claim alleging infringement upon the copyrights, trademarks, trade secrets, patents or other intellectual property rights of such third party.
  • VI.If the teacher remains unresponsive for 15 consecutive days, his/her registration will stand as suspended and proper documentation has to be presented to EdGuru India LLP to justify the absence to continue as registered teacher with EdGuru India LLP. In future if the teacher wants to be a part of EdGuru India LLP , he/she will need to re-register.
  • VII. Registered teachers who have ongoing classes need to give 1 months’ notice to the EdGuru India management for deregistering from EdGuru India LLP platform. They will have the option of re-registering at a later time..
  • VIII. Teacher registration can be cancelled without notification in case of:
    • a) Any misconduct by the teacher with the students, their parents or Edguru India management, based solely on EdGuru India’s discretion.
    • b) Consecutive failure to conduct classes for a period of 15 days. Exceptional cases can be considered by the management.
    • c) Not adhering to EdGuru India’s agreement & policies.
  • IX. Teachers should not cancel classes without notifying the management in advance .
  • X. Teacher will refrain from using any other communication devices, electronic gadgets or avoid any kind of personal interactions during ongoing tuition classes .The action could directly or indirectly harm the reputation of the company.
  • XI. EdGuru India holds the right to terminate the contract at any given point in time without prior notice and reserves the right to cancel a Teacher registration if that is for the larger interest of the company.
  • 1.Payment will be made post TDS deduction to teachers as applicable
  • 2.Teachers need to provide their own bank details by signing into their account at https://www.edguruindia.com/teacher-login.
  • 3.Your monthly fees will be credited to the registered bank account in the first week of following month. For classes starting in the middle of the month,
  • 4., The fee will be calculated on pro-rata basis and regularised as monthly payment from next month onwards. In case of non-renewal of classes, your dues will be cleared immediately
  • 5.Booking fees charged to students will be as per EdGuru India's terms, and will be decided solely by EdGuru India management
  • 6.Fees per class per student will be based on agreed fee structure in the contract between teachers and EdGuru India LLP, EdGuru will not negotiate this fee to be paid to Teachers.
  • 7.Teachers will not be collecting any additional fees directly or indirectly from students registered with EdGuru India LLP
  • 8.Teachers have to complete all the pre-assigned classes booked by students to be eligible for any fee from EdGuru India LLP.
  • 9.Savings Bank account details need to provided to EdGuru India LLP for future credit of fees.
  • 10.You agree, understand and confirm that the account details provided by you for registering as a Teacher on this website is correct and accurate.
  • 11.EdGuru India will be liable to clear all dues of Teachers for fully completed pre-booked sessions, before terminating the contract .
  • 12.EdGuru India LLP doesn’t commit to teachers any fixed number of students month on month or fixed fees.The number of booked sessions is on sole discretion of registered student.
  • It is understood that the student retains the services of the tutor under contract as an independent contractor and not as an employee.
  • We reserve the right to update or modify these Terms of Use at any time without prior notice. Your access and use of this Website following any such change constitutes your agreement to follow and be bound by these Terms of Use as updated or modified. Therefore, we recommend you to review these Terms of Use every time you access and use this Website.
  • EdGuru India LLP gives utmost priority in safeguarding the confidentiality of user information. We provide physical, electronic, and procedural safeguards to protect Information, it processes and maintains the same. Only authorised personnel from EdGuru India management team will have access to users data on need to know basis, in order to operate, develop or improve its application/services/products/website. Please note that, although EdGuru India’s endeavor is to provide full security, for information it possesses and maintains, no security system can prevent all potential security breaches.
  • You represent and warrant that you are competent and eligible to enter into a legally binding agreement and be bound by these Terms & Conditions of EdGuru India LLP.
